By blending cotton with polyester, the fabric becomes significantly stronger and more resistant to wear and tear. This means your rug holds its shape better and lasts longer—especially for active horses or regular use.

Why a Blend and not 100% Cotton - Longer Lasting Performance
Unlike pure cotton, which can stretch, sag, or weaken over time, a poly-cotton blend maintains its structure and integrity. It’s designed to handle repeated use, washing, and movement without breaking down.  They dry quick after those summer showers and  won't shrink like an 100% cotton rug would in the Australian climate.  

Whether in the stable or paddock, these ripstops are designed with ultimate quality and style in mind.   These are also great under a winter rug or rain sheet during the colder months.

Don’t forget to add on a tail bag, choose the size that’s just right for your horse!

To find what size rug your horse needs, please take a measuring tape and place in the centre of your horses chest (where the top chest buckle would sit) past the shoulder, along the side towards the rump to the longest point, making sure to stop before you get to the tail.

Using the tape as a guide, check where you would expect the horse rug to finish and see how it relates to imperial sizing. For example, a 6'0 rug will measure 6'0, so considering the 3-inch intervals in sizing that horse rugs follow, and you can get an idea where a 5'9 or even a 6'3 will finish.

Gala Equine proudly customises a huge range of our products, all we ask is that you provide us with the correct file format of your artwork required to provide a quality finish.

Our preferred file type is a vector file type, they can be saved as .eps, .ai or even .pdf. Vector files are usually provided by a graphic designer.

We will also accept .jpg, .png and .pdf (with editing capabilities preserved) file types as needed, but they must be 300dpi.

If your artwork does not meet the minimum requirements your artwork may be disapproved or result in a less-than-quality finished customisation. We will either contact you to receive a suitable replacement, or (if possible) offer our own reworking and digitising - but this carries additional fees which are quoted individually on each job. In some cases, we may need to cancel your order if you cannot provide a workable logo.
