Kersey Wool

Gala Equine carries a range of Kersey Wool Rugs to suit your needs year round. Our standard kersey wool range is weighted at 700gsm and is what our customers have come to know and love from our Wool Rugs. This rug is perfect for layering during cold months, for wear in the stable or in the paddock. We also offer a lighter weight wool for horses that run warmer, or for those in between seasons that still have a cold night or day here and there.

We love wool rugs here at Gala for many reasons, as it is a natural fibre it has several benefits over synthetic rugs such as fleece. Wool is naturally water resistant and breathable, as well as quick drying and sustainably sourced.

Our Kersey Wool rugs come with a matching surcingle, double binding and fleece at the wither. They are also lined at the shoulders to help prevent rub and can be worn with hoods by utilising the D rings attached.
